FAQ
How many photos will we receive? Do you edit all of them?
From every session, I edit all successful photographs so that together they form a gallery capturing as many different moments as possible. From a family session, you can expect around 50 photos.
For weddings, the number depends on the package you choose - with the most basic package I guarantee at least 100 photos, and with the most extensive one up to 400 photos (more details here).
All photos are delivered both in color and black & white versions.
Will we sign a contract for the shoot?
I always prepare a contract for wedding photography. It’s an important event - and not exactly a cheap one - so I believe it’s important to have at least the basic terms clearly covered by a contract.
For other types of shoots, I usually rely on email (or other written) agreements, but if you’d prefer a contract, I’ll of course be happy to prepare one.
In what format do you deliver the photos?
You’ll always receive your photos in a private, professional Pic-Time online gallery, which you can share with anyone you like. From there, you can download individual photos or the entire gallery, mark your favorites, or even add new images (for example, photos shared by wedding guests).
As part of my wedding packages, you’ll also receive printed photographs of your choice, beautifully packaged. And if you’d like to create large-format prints or a photo book from any session, just let me know, I’ll be happy to advise you and help you put everything together.
Do you only photograph in Prague and nearby, or do you travel?
Every year, I travel across the Czech Republic to photograph weddings, and I’ve also had the opportunity to shoot a beautiful wedding in Tuscany (you can see it here).
With a full-day wedding package, travel is always included. For other types of sessions, I charge 5 CZK per kilometer for travel from Prague and back.
We’ve never been photographed before and we’re a bit nervous. What if we look terrible in the photos?
I can reassure you that this is how the vast majority of my clients feel. Even I get nervous whenever I have to step in front of the camera. But there’s really nothing to worry about. I won’t push you into unnatural poses or “the correct photographic expression.”
All you need to do is be yourselves - and before you know it, I’ll have plenty of natural moments captured, which people usually prefer far more than stiff, posed shots anyway. And honestly, the best photos often happen when you completely forget that I’m even there.
How does communication work before the wedding? Do we meet in person or online?
I always plan for a pre-wedding meeting so we can get to know each other a bit better and so I don’t arrive at your wedding as a complete stranger. We’ll also go through your ideas and expectations to make sure we’re on the same page for your wedding day.
I usually meet clients in person in Prague, but if you’re coming from farther away, we’ll arrange a video call. Of course, I’m available to you as your wedding photographer anytime before the wedding - so if you have any questions or uncertainties, you can always call or write to me.
What if you can’t make it to the shoot? Has that ever happened?
Throughout my entire photography career, I’ve always made it to every agreed shoot, so fortunately I’ve never had to deal with this situation (knocking on wood as I write this!). That said, I understand that we never know what might happen, and such a situation could theoretically occur.
If that were the case, I would let you know as early as possible. And if it involved a shoot that couldn’t be postponed, I would make every effort to find a suitable replacement photographer for you. For wedding photography, this scenario is also covered in my contract.
